Be prepared. Before you submit your application, make sure all contact information is up to date, so that our team can reach you regarding next steps. If the position you are applying for asks for you to submit a portfolio, make sure you include this with your application.
Be thoughtful and strategic. Keep in mind that every job you apply for is tied to your candidate profile. Be sure to check the job requirements and the experience needed to do the job, to make sure they align with your career path.
We are a digital-first organization, and all of our interviews are virtual.
Types of interviews we use at Blackbaud:
Self-paced on-demand video interview
Phone or video interview with the Recruiter or Hiring Manager
Video panel interview with the hiring team
Before any interview, it's good practice to consider answers to potential questions by preparing examples of how you reacted to certain situations with past employers.
Your interviewer may ask questions around our Core Competencies (Learning Agility, Customer Focus and Drive for Results). Your interviewer may also ask questions on how your past experience aligns to our Values or ask role specific competencies such as technical ability or presentation skills.
When answering these questions, it might help to consider a particular situation. Once you have provided additional background on the situation, you should discuss the challenges or problem that needed to be solved in more detail. Then describe what actions you took to achieve your goal and any lessons you learned. Finally, share the outcome and its impact.
It's important to note that depending on the team and position for which you apply, the process may vary and is not the same for every position.
